New Summer Camps at Wheeling Country Day School!

WCDS Summer Camp Flier

We hear it all the time:

‘When I grew up, we lived in the stream! We ran around until the streetlights came on or until mom yelled it was time to come in.’

That feeling of childhood freedom is what helped form the basis for a camp philosophy as we prepared a summer of activities at Wheeling Country Day School seven years ago. We would provide structured and fun learning opportunities while devoting large portions of the day to supervised unstructured play. And just like that, WCDS Summer Camps were born! Participants from around the community, not just WCDS students, would come experience our open campus and all it’s natural glory, including a healthy stream running right through our playground!

Campers of all ages are welcome again this year, with camps involving the arts, nature, STEM, and popular culture running each morning followed by lunch and open summer play (did someone say, ‘Giant Slip n Slide?’) all afternoon.

The philosophy we developed nearly a decade ago continues as we introduce a variety of new camps this year! Check out wcdsedu.com/summercamps for more information and to register. Be sure to sign up fast as some camp numbers are limited. See you on the slide!
