Let us know what you know so we can get to the solution faster.
The Center for Multisensory Learning at Wheeling Country Day School (WCDS) is an on-campus instruction center for students with language-based learning differences. The needs of a student are addressed through multi-sensory, systematic, cumulative, and intensive instruction based on Orton-Gillingham methodology.
Early Identification Is Key
Early identification of a learning difference is the key component necessary to help students achieve academic success. Each missed educational opportunity by a student with learning difficulties decreases their chance of academic success as they become lost in a system that often cannot provide the education and method to achieve greatness. At the Center for Multisensory Learning at WCDS, we are committed to individualizing the student experience in order to discover, empower, and ignite the confidence and passion of learners immersed a nurturing environment. By teaching to the edges with compassion, as well as utilizing sound Orton-Gillingham methodology and techniques, we are able to identify and overcome a variety of visual and auditory processing disorders.
