Scholarships
At Wheeling Country Day School, we welcome the opportunity to grow our community with new families and support those already with us. To make our education accessible, WCDS offers a variety of scholarship opportunities funded by generous foundations and donors. Once a student is accepted, eligibility for available scholarships is reviewed, ensuring families can receive the financial support they need to become part of, and thrive in, our school community.
West Virginia Hope Scholarship Program
To apply for the Hope Scholarship, every student must have a West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS) ID number.
You will need this ID before completing the online application when the window opens on March 2, 2026.
Students who previously attended public school or already receive the Hope Scholarship already have a WVEIS ID and do not need to request a new one.
• Complete the WVEIS ID Request Form.
• Submit the form to your county Board of Education.
• Wait for your child’s WVEIS ID to be issued by the county.

• Brooke County – schoolchoice.brooke@k12.wv.us
• Marshall County – schoolchoice.marshall@k12.wv.us
• Ohio County – schoolchoice.ohio@k12.wv.us

Branch Scholarship
Introducing an opportunity for families interested in what’s possible here at Wheeling Country Day School.
The Branch Scholarship is designed to provide recognition for students who demonstrate promise for excellence in analytical and flexible thinking, creativity, interpersonal communication, and student agency. The recipient will receive the scholarship award throughout their career at WCDS, provided the student continues to demonstrate the qualities and character that merited the award. One Branch Scholarships is awarded per year.
