He keenly understood the importance of both financial strategy and community support, working closely with school leadership to ensure sustainable growth and accessibility.
The Blochs’ impact extended far beyond WCDS. Stephanie’s contributions included her work with the Junior League, Town Gate Theater, King’s Daughters, and Oglebay Institute, where her warmth and listening skills made people feel valued. Stuart’s involvement encompassed WCDS and organizations like WAHA, OVMC, and United Way. His daughter, Karen, fondly recalls his humor and wisdom, noting his saying, “fast money makes fast friends,” reflecting his grounded approach to life.
