Capital Campaign

Wheeling Country Day School celebrated the successful completion of the “Campaign for the Next Chapter” in April 2013. Thanks to the generous support of our WCDS family, past and present, nearly $1.9 million was donated for new classroom buildings, capital improvements, professional development for faculty, and an endowment to help fund future capital needs. We were proud to have 100% support for the WCDS board, faculty, and families.

Major campaign donors gathered with the WCDS Board and Staff, and the Capital Campaign Steering Committee as the Nutting Building, the Driehorst Building, and the Schenk Building were dedicated during a private ceremony. The following day, the celebration continued with a “Community Discovery Day” where all Ohio Valley families could see our beautiful campus and enjoy discovery stations that featured core elements in the WCDS curriculum including art, music, science, gardening, cooking for kids, and literature.

We are sincerely grateful to all our our donors who helped transform our campus and make this long-time vision for a our school a reality.
