The WCDS Branch Scholarship is a multi-year scholarship that allows families of recipients to pay no more than 50% of tuition for newly-enrolled, rising 5th through 8th-grade students. The scholarship is designed to provide recognition for students who demonstrate promise for excellence in analytical and flexible thinking, creativity, interpersonal communication, and student agency. The recipient(s) will receive the scholarship award throughout their career at WCDS, provided the student continues to demonstrate the qualities and character that merited the award. Currently, there are three Branch Scholarships to be awarded. Each one offers preference to a middle school grade level (5-8).
For more information and to complete an application, please contact our Admissions Director, Stephanie Skadra by phone at (304) 232-2430 or by email at sskadra@wcdsedu.com.

Funding Available for West Virginia Students
West Virginia’s Hope Scholarship Program is an education savings account (ESA) that allows eligible parents to receive the average per-pupil state funding already set aside for their children’s education onto an electronic, parent-controlled fund for educational expenses.
Those expenses can include private school tuition, tutoring, credentialing, therapies, transportation and more.
The ESA empowers families with the freedom and flexibility to customize their child’s education and the program’s rollover provision allows them to save for future educational expenses.
Observe our curious and engaged students and teachers in their classrooms and throughout our spacious campus with its grass playing field, classroom courtyard, and outdoor amphitheater. Sit in on classes that give great attention to a curriculum that matches the optimum times for learning within a child’s first ten years.
Applying online is easy with WCDS. Complete and submit your online application. This application confirms your interest and prompts the school’s consideration of your child. You can download and submit the records release form if your child currently attends kindergarten or above.
The school takes great pride in the fact that the Head of School meets with each family to engage in a mission/philosophy conversation. Admissions Events offer this group opportunity or you can contact the Admissions Office for special arrangements.
