What inspired you to become a teacher?

I have always enjoyed being around children. I started teaching swim lessons to young children over the summer which led me to become interested in education classes in college so I could have an opportunity to teach in a classroom setting.

Who inspires you the most?

WCDS teachers past and present and the students with their enthusiasm and endless curiosity.

What adjectives would you use to describe your presence in the classroom?

Nurturing- Attentive Fun

If you weren’t teaching what career would you have chosen?

I would have pursued a career in Interior design. Owning a little boutique.

Growing up who was your most inspirational teacher and Why?

Mrs. Richardson 1st Grade. She made learning fun and exciting and let you feel as though you mattered and your presence was important in her classroom.

What are some of the most important life skills you hope to instill in your students?

Independence, responsibility, love for curiosity, communication, and being themselves.
