What inspired you to become a teacher?

I had a few special mentors and teachers growing up that gave me the opportunity to grow my skills and confidence in an honest, supportive, and creative way. When I think back to them, they were the ones that really helped me spread my wings, and I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am without them. What they gave me made me want to give and share that same gift with others!

Who inspires you the most?

Leaders and teachers inspire me, creatives and thought provokers inspire me, students inspire me, moms and dads inspire me, love inspires me, grandparents inspire me, goodness and kindness inspires me, music inspires me, peace and calm inspires me, everyday heroes inspire me, travel inspires me, people inspire me!!

What adjectives would you use to describe your presence in the classroom?

Open, fun, welcoming, warm, ready, relatable, honest, patient.

What are some of the most important life skills you hope to instill in your students?

Anything worthwhile takes time, patience and dedication. Challenges don’t mean you can’t. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest impact.
